Prof. Dr. Kai-Michael Griese has been Professor of Business Administration at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences, Germany, since 2009. There, he primarily represents the topic of sustainability management in research and teaching. He studied in Pforzheim, The Hague and Hamburg and received his doctorate under Prof. Dr. Cornelia Zanger at the Chair of Marketing and Retail Management. Since 2011, he has been a visiting professor at the Shanghai University of International Business and Economics (SUIBE).
Before becoming a lecturer, he worked for over 10 years in various leading positions in industry (e.g. Head of Marketing Communications at TUI Germany) as well as on the service side in consulting (e.g. Mercedes Benz, Telekom). His doctoral thesis, published by Gabler-Verlag, deals with the importance of emotions in customer relationship management. His current research interest is primarily in the field of sustainable business models, climate adaptation and resilience of organizations and regions, and the circular economy. He has published in leading international journals. In this context, he has also accompanied/led several projects for the Federal Ministry of Education, the Federal Ministry of the Environment or the Federal Ministry of Transport, the DAAD, the European Union (Interreg) and the German Federal Foundation for the Environment, among others. In addition to science, he is involved in voluntary work, especially for community promotion.
Prof. Dr. Peter Mayer, Professor of International Economics at the University of Applied Science Osnabrück. He holds a doctorate from Goethe University, Frankfurt. Between 2003 and 2007, Professor Mayer was Dean of the Faculty for Business Management and Social Sciences of the University of Applied Science Osnabrück as well as Vice President for International Affairs. In his teaching, he focusses on international economic relations, European integration, and business ethics. Shortterm teaching assignments brought him to Oshkosh/USA, Port Elizabeth/South Africa, Vilnius /Lithuania, Bratislava/Slovakia, Seoul/ South Korea and Paris/France. From 2006 to 2012, he was a member of the accreditation committee for private higher education institutions of the German Council of Science and Humanities and concurrently referee for some DAAD programmes. He was also referee for research projects of Universities of Applied Sciences in North Rhine Westphalia (2006-2007) and in Baden-Württemberg (2007- 2016). His research and publications concentrate on European integration and higher education issues. For the DIES programme, he has been project manager for the International Deans’ Course since 2007.
Arunabha Chakraborty is a highly experienced marketing and search engine optimization professional with over nine years of expertise in developing and managing digital campaigns for local and international markets. He has a proven track record of increasing digital visibility and engagement across diverse sectors such as tourism and education. His diverse background includes serving as a Scientific Assistant, where he conducted research on the circular economy in Indonesia. This follows a Master of Science in Business Administration from the University of Rome 'Tor Vergata' and also participated in an Erasmus+ exchange in Wiesbaden, Germany to further his specialized business knowledge. Core Team Universitas Gadjah Mada
Nurul Indarti is a Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Indonesia, and currently serves as Head of the Department of Management. She earned her Ph.D. in Knowledge and Innovation Management from the University of Groningen (Netherlands). Her research focuses on entrepreneurship, innovation, and strategic management, with particular emphasis on SMEs, knowledge management, social entrepreneurship, and gender in business. She has published widely in leading international journals and is known for her work using systematic literature reviews and bibliometric approaches in emerging economy contexts.
She serves as Associate Editor of the Journal of Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies (Scopus Q1/ABDC B) and is actively involved in international academic collaboration as an external examiner and visiting scholar. She has also led several Erasmus+ CBHE projects —REPESEA, ANGEL, and MASUDEM — supporting research capacity and sustainability-oriented education in Southeast Asia. Beyond academia, she is engaged in policy, collaboration, and community empowerment, particularly in advancing inclusive and sustainable entrepreneurship, while actively supervising doctoral students and contributing to academic program development.
Sari Sitalaksmi is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), Indonesia. She earned her Ph.D from the University of Melbourne in human resource management and Master degree from Monash University. She is currently the Deputy Director of MBA Program, Jakarta Campus, FEB UGM. Her areas of expertise are industrial relations, strategic human resource management, assessment center, and coaching. She has published several book chapters with Routledge on industrial relations, employers' association and employment. Her involvement with industries is marked by serving as a former member of Nomination and Remuneration Committee for the BOC of a state-owned enterprise, as an expert staff for a few HC Directors of large state construction firms, as well as an independent HR consultant for several financial, plantation, and infrastructure companies. She has also earned an Erickson Accredited Coach from the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
Nofie is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada. He holds a PhD in Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science and an MSc in Management of Science, Technology and Innovation from the University of Manchester. His research focuses on innovation management and dynamic corporate strategy.
He has published numerous papers in leading international journals, including Electronic Commerce Research and Applications, Philosophy and Technology, International Journal of Bank Marketing, Journal of Science and Technology Policy Management, International Journal of Quality and Service Sciences, and Journal of Islamic Marketing, among others. He also regularly writes for newspapers and magazines such as Bisnis Indonesia, Jawa Pos, Kontan, Republika, SWA, and The Jakarta Post.
Previously, he served as an expert staff member to the Minister of Transportation, focusing on digital transformation in the transportation sector. Since January 2026, he has been serving as Deputy Head of the Department of Management.
Rocky Adiguna is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Management, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia. His research concentrates on family business and entrepreneurship, with a focus on qualitative methodologies. Rocky attained his PhD from the University of Luxembourg, where his dissertation examined the connection between tradition, family business, and the hospitality industry in Luxembourg. His work has appeared in the Journal of Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies and in book chapters published by Emerald, Springer, and Edward Elgar. Rocky also leads the Tradition and Heritage Renewal and Innovation in Family Enterprise (THRIVE) project, which explores how tradition- and heritage-based family businesses in Indonesia manage the balance between continuity and change.
Widya Paramita is an associate professor in marketing at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Gadjah Mada University. She is currently (2026-2030) the Head of Magister Science and Doctoral Program in Management. She serves as the Editor in Chief of Journal of Indonesian Economy and Business (Scopus Q3/ABDC C), the editor of Asia Journal of Business Research (Scopus Q2) and Gadjah Mada International Journal of Business (Scopus Q3/ABDC C). She has published her works at various reputable journals such as Marketing Letters, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Business Research, Australian Marketing Journal, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, among others. She has received Gadjah Mada best publication award in 2022 for socio humanities topics for her published article in International Journal of Advertising Research.

Kurniawan Saefullah is an associate Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Padjadjaran, Indonesia. Currently serving as Dean of the Vocational School, Universitas Padjadjaran, He holds a PhD in Management Science from Leiden University, the Netherlands. Dr Saefullah is an active researcher with a focus on areas such as microfinance, sustainable community development, ethnoeconomics, and the circular economy, with a strong emphasis on indigenous knowledge and integrated, locally managed solutions. He is a co-editor of the book Integrated Community-Managed Development: Strategising Indigenous Knowledge and Institutions for Poverty Reduction and Sustainable Community Development in Indonesia, alongside scholars from Leiden University. He also serves as a guest editor for the Frontiers Research Topic Sustainability Management of Cities Through Circular Economy and Community Development: A Global Perspective, together with Prof. Dr Kai-Michael Griese (Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences) and Asst Prof. Dr Chanen Munkong (King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi). His international profile also includes leading the "Artificial Intelligence for Sustainability" programme at Unpad, a collaborative effort with universities in Vietnam and Thailand to prepare students for the future of work. He is also an alumnus of the DIES-International Deans' Course in Southeast Asia, organised by DAAD and CHE in Germany. Through these engagements, Dr Saefullah bridges international academic networks and vocational education to advance sustainable and inclusive economic models.
Sunu Widianto is a Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Padjadjaran, with expertise in strategic leadership and organizational behavior. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Twente, NL and was a research associate on Change Management and Organizational Behaviour research group in the same university. His research interests include leadership, people analytics, emotion, and individual and team effectiveness, particularly through multilevel and longitudinal approaches. He is also active in professional training and executive education in state-owned companies in Indonesia. Currently he serves on the editorial board of Acta Psychologica WOS ssci, while also contributing as a guest editor for a special issue on AI in the workplace. He regularly presents his research at the British Academy of Management, the Asia Academy of Management, and the Academy of Management, while also publishing in reputable journals such as the Journal of Organizational Effectiveness, the Journal of Asia Business Studies, and the Leadership and Organizational Development Journal
Rudi Kurniawan is an academic in the Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Padjadjaran. He is currently Head of Internationalization at the Vocational School, Universitas Padjadjaran. He earned his Ph.D. in Economics from Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia, after completing an M.Sc. in Economics at Universitas Gadjah Mada and a B.Sc. in Economics at Universitas Padjadjaran. His teaching and research span macroeconomics, monetary economics, central banking, financial economics, the digital economy, and time series econometrics. He has held several academic leadership positions, including Secretary of the Master of Applied Economics Program and Head of Undergraduate Economics Program. He has also contributed to regional and national policy and professional forums through training, public service, and academic engagement.
Rita Komaladewi is a senior academic and researcher in Department Management and Business, at Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad), with expertise in Marketing Management, particularly in Services Marketing. She currently serves as the Head of the Master of Management Program at Unpad. She earned her Doctorate in Management from Universitas Padjadjaran and has undertaken an academic recharging program at La Trobe University, Australia. Her research, funded by both internal and national grants, focuses on services marketing, consumer behavior, and digital marketing transformation. Her scholarly work consistently explores strategic issues such as customer loyalty, service quality, and marketing innovation across various industries. She is also an active member of the Indonesian Management Forum, representing business schools nationwide.
Dr. Arie Widyastuti is a lecturer and researcher at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Padjadjaran, where her research focuses on corporate finance, financial literacy, and corporate governance. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Universitas Padjadjaran and La Trobe University in Australia, followed by a Master’s in International Business from Deakin University, Australia, and a Master’s in Management from Universitas Padjadjaran. Currently, she serves as Head of the Internationalization Unit at FEB Unpad, pursues her PhD at Bandung Institute of Technology, and collaborates with Unpad's Center for Management and Business Studies on research, training, consulting, and policy.
Dr. Risna Resnawaty is a lecturer and researcher at the Department of Social Welfare, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Padjadjaran since 2006. Has expertise in Community Development and Corporate Social Responsibility. Actively conducts research related to community development and empowerment, CSR, Social Return on Investment, and Inclusive Development with vulnerable groups. Experienced as a national-level judge in the awards given by the Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Republic Indonesia for companies that implement CSR (2023 - present). Earned a Bachelor's degree in Social Welfare from Universitas Padjadjaran, a Master's degree in Community Development at the IPB University, and a Doctorate in Social Welfare from the University of Indonesia.
